Omega 3

Is it possible to get enough omega 3 in our diet? I think that it is really difficult. There are different forms of Omega 3, such as ALA, EPA, and DHA. In our diets we tend to eat more ALA and not enough EPA and DHA. ALA is contained in walnuts, chia seeds, flax seeds or flaxseed oil and canola oil. EPA and DHA are contained in fish but nowadays in low amounts and in some algaes. In our bodies, we can produce EPA and DHA, though this conversion is low. Therefore, mostly it's insufficient.

Why do we need EPA or DHA?

EPA is important for our heart and skin. DHA is important for our brain and eyes.
